I attended high school in Michigan at Wayne Memorial High School. (Go Zebras!-- Yes, our mascot was a zebra, laugh if you want.) As far as college goes, I went to three: Cottey College, Saginaw Valley, and Western Governors University.
What have you learned about your position?
I'd have to say that although getting students to write is sometimes like pulling teeth, the outcome is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. Our students here at Bronaugh are so brilliantly talented, most of them just don't realize it or don't want to give themselves the credit they deserve.
Was the education that you received hard and was it worth it?
I will say this about the education I received: Teacher's college can NEVER prepare you for all that your job as a teacher will entail, but they sure do try!
Do you enjoy your position at Bronaugh R-VII?
Being the ELA (English Language Arts) teacher at Bronaugh is the absolute BEST job I could ever dream of. I am proud to work where I do, and I come to work each day with the same excitement that I had on my very first day of teaching. I hope I'll forever have that feeling!
